Request For Assistance

With Trap Neuter Vaccinate Return (TNVR)  Of  Un-owned Outdoor Cats Of  The City Of Tulsa

T-Town TNR Mission

To resolve the feline overpopulation crisis in the City of Tulsa, OK through spay and neuter of Community Cats, utilizing humane trap-neuter-return (TNR) protocols.
Thank You For Reaching Out to T-Town TNR For Assistance.
Together We Can Help More Cats!

T-Town TNR is a non-profit, all-volunteer, donation-based organization doing humane trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) based on nationally accepted best practices.

Services of T-Town TNR are provided to individuals and businesses represented by one of the City of Tulsa's nine Council Districts.  To find out if you qualify, please use the City Council District Finder, by clicking on the map, to verify if you are within  the covered area.

If you qualify for assistance based on your district, read the following information, then proceed to fill out the 'Request For Assistance' form that follows.
All cats going through the T-Town TNR program will be spay or neutered, vaccinated for rabies and FvRCP, ear-tipped, micro-chipped and returned to the same location that they were taken or trapped from. Any apparent wounds or superficial issues will be treated at the time of TNVR. Any pregnancies will be terminated.

T-Town TNR DOES NOT relocate or remove cats from their current location, provide ongoing care for community cats regarding food or medical care, rescue injured cats, nor take in or adopt out cats and kittens.
When you reach out to T-Town TNR for assistance, your request goes through the following steps:

  • Your request for assistance gets listed in our queue. If you have provided a valid email address, you will receive an email confirmation.
  • You will later be contacted by a Team Member to discuss details of the project prior to a visit to the site where the cats are located. (Note: T-Town TNR always has a waiting list and wants to get to your site as quickly as you do but is limited by human and financial resources.)
  • The Team Member who takes your project will work with you to plan trapping of the cat(s), including adjustment of feeding schedules and location, as needed.
  • After the Team Member communicates and schedules with the clinic who will perform surgery(ies), the cat(s) is/are trapped either the day before or the morning of surgery and a determination will be made where overnight recovery of the cat(s) will be..
  • Please know that each project is different. T-Town TNR relies on you participation and support of the project during this entire process.

T-Town TNR manages ALL communication with the clinic that will perform surgery. Services are limited to the services provided by the T-Town TNR program. All costs are billed directly to T-Town TNR by the respective clinic, which we pay with donations we have received from you and others.

ALL CATS WILL BE LEFT EAR-TIPPED (left tip of the ear surgically removed while under anesthesia), which is the universal sign that a community cat has been TNVR’d. (NOTE: since the left ear-tip can usually be easily seen, it is obvious that the cat has been TNVR’d, or that it is a new cat needing TNVR.

T-Town TNR operates completely on donations. It can only help as many cats and colonies as it has funds to do so. Our program cost per cat is $63 or more. T-Town TNR Team Members cover their own vehicle and fuel expenses and most of the supply expenses. We have no paid staff and operate with very low overhead.
